More on learning python
Picking up where I left off earlier about learning python…
Normally, I wouldn’t write about a few-days-old project I’m working on — one that still has a very chance of going nowhere before I get interested in the next shiny object.
The reason I decided to write about it is because I read the A Django website that took (a lot) more than 20 minutes. via reddit.com. This article documents how one developer spent 240 hours over 10 months working on an independent project, writing almost 9000 lines of code, scripts and templates.
I found it interesting that this guy was just finishing a type of project that I was just beginning. I hadn’t thought of keeping a detailed log of my work, but now I think I will. I’m guessing I’ll be able to squeeze 10-15 hours per week into this project, and I’ll try to make an update on it about once per week.
Unless some other shiny object catches my attention.
