Ha. Got you, didn’t I?
You thought, just for a second, that hell had frozen over and the Raleigh City Council grew a brain and decided to boot the whole Downtown Convention Center, didn’t you?
We should be so lucky.
Well, maybe you aren’t as hopeful as I am, but I had to read the NBC 17 headline, “Council Pans Convention Center Hotel Design“, twice before I picked up that last word.
But no, the City Council still loves downtown Mariott, they just didn’t like the way the design looks. It needs an extra door, or something. Oh, and a few more million dollars for design work.
